Do you enjoy podcasts? Are you more of an auditory processor?

Or perhaps you just want to dive deeper into some key aspects of Cap Corps?

Check out the videos below.

Our Program Director gives a thorough and engaging overview about Cap Corps in this podcast episode...

Kyra Koons was invited to talk about the Cap Corps with Chris Crawford for his project called "Our Little Portion" in honor of the 800th Anniversary of the death of St. Francis. While this episode was specifically motivated by his questions about the Franciscan vow of poverty and how that is lived out in Cap Corps' pillar of simplicity, the brief conversation does a great job of providing listeners with an overview of Cap Corps and the Franciscan approach to service. (24 min long)

The Substack for this episode and project can be found here.

Some beloved Capuchin Friars discuss "Franciscan Joy" in this special video made for an alumni retreat...

"What does Franciscan Joy mean to you?"

"What do you think of when you hear Franciscan Joy?"

In preparation for the 2nd Alumni Retreat in April 2026, these questions were asked of some Capuchin Friars (Brothers) who are actively involved with Cap Corps and some who have been directly involved through the years. Their answers were complied into a video that served as the opener to the retreat all about Franciscan Joy. We hope you enjoy! (17 min long)

SUPPORT CAP CORPS

Our goal as a Catholic service program is to send forth young adults who are transformed by the lived experience of community, service, simplicity and prayer and have gained a greater understanding of the person God has called them to be. The Capuchin Franciscan Volunteer Corps offers men and women the opportunity to serve in full-time positions that uplift the poor, vulnerable and marginalized, while living simply in an intentional community with other volunteers and accompanied by the joyful fellowship of the Capuchin Friars. Embracing the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi and his example of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is central to this experience of community and service.
