Contact Us: Complete the Interest Form and a Cap Corps staff member will contact you.

Apply: After completing the Interest form and speaking with staff, you will receive the Cap Corps Application and Reference Form through email.

A full application includes:

  • Application Form

  • Your Resume

  • Short Essay Questions

  • Four (4) Reference Forms
    submitted by a Spiritual, Work, Academic, and Peer Reference

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.

Interview: An interview is scheduled once your full application is received. Interviews may take place via phone or Zoom. Potential placement sites are identified during the interview.

Acceptance: Applicants are notified of acceptance within 1-2 weeks of the interview.

Placements: We work to place accepted applicants in their placement preference. Applicants interview with placement sites once they commit to Cap Corps. A placement is offered when supervisors and applicant agree on a good fit. 

Final Steps: A Medical Physical and Background Check is required once a candidate is accepted into Cap Corps. An applicant's participation in the program is contingent upon these clearances.


Cap Corps is a year long, post-graduate service program for young adults with locations in Cleveland, OH & Washington, DC. Cap Corps Volunteers work full time in education, healthcare, or social service positions, and live simply in intentional community with other volunteers. The program is sponsored by the Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Augustine who support the volunteers through weekly community nights, spiritual direction, retreats, and fellowship.
