Meet the Volunteers
|
Jon advocates for low-wage workers as a community organizer with Faith Community for Worker Justice in Milwaukee. He is a graduate of Marian College in Indianapolis with a BA in Sociology and Political Science and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. During his years at Marian, he co-founded the Dorothy Day House for Peace and Justice, an intentional living community, focused on service and simple living. He has also competed as an elite bicyclist. |

Emily co-teaches 2nd graders at Messmer Preparatory Catholic School in Milwaukee. She hails from Eldorado, WI and studied Education and Spanish at UW-Madison. During her time in Madison, Emily volunteered as a child care provider with the Catholic Multicultural Center and at an after-school program that served homeless and at-risk children. Emily likes to jog, play cards and read in her spare time. |

Molly is putting her Environmental Education degree from
University of Michigan to good use as she tends to the Earth
Works Garden at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
Molly was a student leader for the Alternative Spring Break
program her last two years at U of M. She also volunteered
at Earth Works and Tantre Farm during her college years.

Cindy grew up outside of Cross Plains, WI in the Black Earth Creek watershed, a landscape that shaped both her spiritual and activist roots. Her past work has included campus social justice activism at American University in D.C., coordinating a post-war grassroots women's mental health program in Guatemala, and co-founding the Groundwork anti-racism collective in Madison. Cindy is volunteering as the New Sanctuary Movement Coordinator for Voces de la Frontera in Milwaukee. |

Nathan is a native of Atchison, KS and a graduate of Benedictine College with a degree in Economics. Nathan is serving for an additional year in Tocumen, Panama as a pastoral minister at Parroquia San Pio. During his time in Panama, Nathan has started a soccer league, English classes, and neighborhood clean-up projects. |
